Budde Music UK Signs Talented and Rising Star Writer Lei Jennings

Lei has quickly become one of the British music industry’s most go-to topliners. Based between Manchester and London, he has been writing with renowned producers and writers such as Digital Farm Animals, Jin Jin, Vodka, Z-dot, Ill Blu, Snakehips, Goldfingers, Loosechange and many others. Also he has been creating great songs for artists such as Ivorian Doll, Fleur East, Kamille, Zie Zie, Lost Girl and S1mba. Lei recently collaborated closely with artist Ivorian Doll co-writing her breakout single ‘Rumours’, which is now at 4 million streams across all DSP’s and still climbing. Along with co-writing the official remix of S1mba’s hit record ‘Rover’ featuring Ivorian Doll, Zie Zie, and Poundz, which is currently at number 3 in the official U.K. chart along with gaining a BPI silver certification. Also Joining the Budde Music Family is Fresh Singer-Songwriter Raphi 

Born in Cyprus, having moved to London at just six months old, Raphi later attended the BRIT School (Adele, Jessie J and Katy B). Success came early as she won Capital Radio’s ‘Be A Star’ competition as a teenager, followed by Kiss Radio’s ‘Westfield Presents’ in which she performed alongside Professor Green. Her talent for catchy and infectious toplines from pop to R&B, hits with her own releases having built up to almost one million streams on Spotify. Raphi also recently supported Robbie Williams at the BST Hyde Park festival and is currently writing for artists as well as her own project. EDM is also no new territory for her, as one of her dance cuts (”Konichiwa” by Sam Berson) has been in the top 20 dance music week charts, was featured on Don Diablo show and is the trailer for the new NBC show “Bring Me The Funny”. She also top lined DJ Redfield’s new song ‘Into You’ which was played on Apple’s Beats 1 Radio, on Jax Jones’ show. Budde Music Publishing’s UK Arm Busy Flexing it’s Signing Muscle - Jafaris Joins the Roster

Newly appointment Budde Music Senior A & R Sina Wahnschaffe (based at the Budde Berlin office) has signed Dublin based hip-hop artist JAFARIS who has now become one of the foremost players in a new generation of Irish hip hop. Jafaris has previously received critical praise for his debut album STRIDE - nominated for RTE Choice Music Award - Album of The Year 2019. Jafaris musical calling came a little later than most. Before the dazzling lyricism and poetic resonance, he brought to the emerging Irish music scene, dance had always been his passion and career path. It was through a dance audition that the multi-talented musician landed the role of Ngig in the 2016 Irish film sensation ‘Sing Street’ directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker John Carney. Musically, his uncompromising fluency of expression means he is now as exciting as he’s ever sounded. In 2017, Jafaris hooked up with Diffusion Lab music production hub and artist management agency that’s seen a whole bunch of remarkable talent come through its doors. Since joining the team, the triple threat - rapper, actor and dancer, has gone on to become a knock-out performer. In 2017 he also signed deal with Primary Talent booking, sharing the live roster with Stormzy, J Hus and Wretch32. In 2018 he went one further and represented Ireland at Eurosonic Festival in Holland 2018, played the main stage at biggest Irish hip hop festival Longitude, and returned to Electric Picnic Festival with the RTÉ orchestra and what’s more, he performed at Late Late TV show debuting his single Time and joined Joy Crookes performing ‘Early’ on Jools Holland TV show. Budde Music is Supremely Excited to Welcome Conor Byrne to the UK Roster

Conor is an Irish Singer-Songwriter and producer. He grew up focusing on his love of music, and began writing at an early age. Inspired by such artists as Damien Rice, James Bay, John Mayer, and Jon Bellion. Conor makes contemporary pop that balances between electronic and organic elements. Conor has already featured on Gamper and Dadoni’s hit ‘Islands in the Sun’ (18 million Spotify streams) and next he launches his own career and is currently eyeing label offers from Germany. Conor has just featured on ‘Best of Us’ a charity record for Covid19 frontline workers in Germany. Also guesting on the record are domestic heavy hitters Joris, Glasperlenspiel, Kelvin Jones, Milow, Nico Santos and Sasha. 4/25/2019 Alvaro Soler on "Sing meinen Song" 2019

For the sixth season of "Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert" (“Sing My Song – The Exchange Concert”) due to premiere on 7 May 2019 on VOX, the show once again invited a diverse group of musicians to South Africa.

Besides Budde Music author and artist Alvaro Soler, artists Milow, Wincent Weiss, Johannes Oerding, Jennifer Haben, Jeanette Biedermann and host Michael Patrick Kelly will be part of this year's show.

The fourth episode, which will air on 28 May 2019 on VOX, will focus on the Spanish-German singer-songwriter and for the first time he will be listening to completely new interpretations of his songs for which he has already been awarded gold and platinum awards several times. The show is followed by the documentary series "Die Story" (“The Story”) that will shed light on the life of Alvaro Soler and offer some more insights into his musical as well as his personal development.

The entire #teambudde has marked the start of the new season of "Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert" in their calendars already and ‘can’t wait’ for musical highlights of the show.

Am 7. Mai 2019 geht die Show „Sing meinen Song – Das Tauschkonzert“ auf dem Sender VOX bereits in die sechste Runde und lädt erneut eine vielfältige Gruppe Musiker nach Südafrika ein.

Neben Budde Music-Autor und Künstler Alvaro Soler sind in diesem Jahr die Künstler Milow, Wincent Weiss, Johannes Oerding, Jennifer Haben, Jeanette Biedermann und Gastgeber Michael Patrick Kelly mit dabei.

In der vierten Folge, die am 28. Mai 2019 auf VOX ausgestrahlt wird, steht der spanisch-deutsche Singer-Songwriter dann im Fokus und hört seine Songs, für die er bereits mehrfach mit Gold und Platin ausgezeichnet wurde, auf eine komplett neue Art und Weise. Die im Anschluss an die Show laufende Doku-Reihe „Die Story“, beleuchtet dann noch einmal mehr das Leben von Alvaro Soler und bietet sowohl Einblicke in den musikalischen sowie den persönlichen Werdegang.
